WE ARE A CONGREGATION OF PEOPLE WHO ARE COMMITTED TO JESUS CHRIST,
PATTERNING OUR LIVES AFTER HIM,AND DOING THE WORK THAT HE HAS ASKED US TO DO.
Although we subscribe to no particular creed, our beliefs are thoroughly orthodox, as our name implies. Sermons are straight from the Bible and applied to our daily lives.
Our worship is traditional but is distinct in its relaxed atmosphere and freer flow of prayer. Our music is a combination of thoughtfully chosen hymns, along with music from the heart. Members are encouraged to take part in reading scripture, praying, reflecting, and friendship in worship.
We are an interdenominational body of believers, but our pastor is an ordained Baptist. We do not claim to be either conservative or liberal, but rather try to conserve what is important and liberate ourselves from what is not. Our practice is a hybrid of the various Christian traditions of our people.
We believe that it is God's desire for all people everywhere to know Him and to experience His incomparable love. He welcomes all people into relationship with Him. Certainly, all people are welcome to worship with us.
We believe that His desire is for all people to know Jesus and to accept the gift of Life that he alone can give...the only life free from sin and death, enjoyed now and forever. Jesus freely gave His life for all and was raised from the dead, which believers symbolically commemorate in immersion baptism. All believers are free to celebrate this truth in communion and fellowship with us.
We believe that Jesus has made the extraordinary life possible by sending the Holy Spirit to be with us, to guide us every step of the way.
The Holy Spirit empowers all Christians - all races and nationalities, male and female, rich and poor, old and young - with no preference or priority whatsoever. This fact is proof that the Kingdom of God stands apart from all human institutions. All Christians are given unique spiritual abilities to accomplish the work of Christ.
We believe that the Church is called and equipped to love God with all that we are, and to love others with the same regard that we have for ourselves.
